This isn’t just a token gesture it means a full team of four trained first aiders, two emergency ambulance crew, and a fully equipped ambulance will be in place on the night, ready to jump in if anyone needs help.
Council leader Cllr Sam Charleston shared his appreciation for St John Ambulance, thanking the volunteers and staff for their work. He also encouraged everyone to enjoy the celebrations while staying safe.
It’s great to see this ongoing partnership between the council and St John Ambulance it shows that local leaders are thinking about people’s wellbeing, not just putting on a show. With big crowds and lots going on in the city centre on New Year’s Eve, having trained medical teams on standby gives everyone a bit of peace of mind.
So whether you’re heading into Salisbury to watch the fireworks, meet friends, or just welcome in 2026, there’ll be professional help close by if it’s needed and that’s something worth feeling good about.
